Major Studio I: Ideas in Form Interactive

Monday, September 25th 2017

In this study on botnet topologies, I wanted to incorporate human interaction while highlighting a different botnet network form – decentralized botnets. Each user click creates a new node in the botnet, building a more and more complex network using a Delaunay triangulation algorithm.

This project differs from my other Major Studio projects to date in that I incorporated sound. I felt like some "click" and "pop" noises to support user interaction would make playing with this study more compelling for users, and reinforce that as a user you are effectively creating something around this botnet network form.

This project was built in openFrameworks using the ofxDelaunay addon. Icons are courtesy of the Noun Project.
